Feed the Otters
This is your chance to get up close and personal with our seven playful, curious otters in a truly special encounter you will never forget!
Upon arrival you will meet one of our friendly, experienced keepers. They will show you to the otter enclosure and guide you through a quick health and safety briefing before the real fun begins…
During your experience you will learn all about our otters’ fascinating behaviours, feeding routines and cheeky personalities. Our keeper will share insider knowledge and answer all your questions.
The highlight of your visit is feeding the otters yourself, getting even closer as they enjoy their treats.
We want you to make the most of this unique experience so feel free to take plenty of photos to capture these magical moments!
As part of your experience, you’ll receive Sealife Adventure Day Entry, giving you the opportunity to explore and enjoy our Zooquarium before and after your booked experience.

- You can arrive earlier to enjoy the aquarium before your otter experience.
- We offer two experiences each day, at 11:00am and 1:30pm. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time.
- Minimum of 2 people.
- Maximum of 4 people, with 2 people feeding at one time.
- Closed toe shoes (trainers, boots, wellies) must be worn.
- All guests receive an otter experience certificate.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
- Minimum guest age of 3 years old.
If you require assistance entering the enclosure, please contact us ahead of your booking to discuss further. We also advise that pregnant women do not take part in this experience.

How long is the experience?
Our Otter Experience starts at 11:00am and 13:30pm and last for around 30 minutes. Please ensure to arrive no later than 30 minutes before your booking time.
Is there a minimum age to take part?
Guests must be aged 3 or over to take part in the experience, please note that guests under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
How many people can take part?
Our Otter Experiences can accommodate 2-4 people, with 2 guests feeding at any time.
Is there a dress code?
Closed toe shoes MUST be worn (trainers, boots, wellies).
Can I take photos?
We want you to make the most of this unique experience so take as many photos as you like!
How close will I get to the animals?
Our Otter Experience takes place in a private viewing area alongside the otter enclosure. During the session, you will be separated from the animals by a glass wall and will feed the otters through specially designed feeding tubes, where they’ll adorably reach their paws through to take their food. This allows for a close, interactive experience while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of both our visitors and our otters. You will not be in direct contact with the animals at any time.
Is the experience accessible?
Our otter experience is fully wheelchair accessible; however, we recommend contacting us at sealife@stockvale.co.uk before booking so we can ensure we’re able to accommodate your wheelchair size.

Do Annual Pass holders get a discount?
Sealife Adventure and Adventure Island Annual Pass holders get 50% off all animal experiences! Book with this discount using the Annual Pass holder booking link on the experience page. Annual Pass holders can also book animal experiences as a gift for family and friends using their discount.
What will I be feeding the otters?
During the experience, you’ll treat our otters to a specially prepared selection of their favourite foods. This may include items such as fresh meat, mealworms, shrimp and other tasty treats that form part of their balanced diet.
Is the experience private or will it be shared with other guests?
Our Otters Experiences are private bookings and you will not be joined by other guests. Please note the experience takes place in the otter enclosure so can be viewed by guests.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Our otter keeper area is inside and our otters need feeding no matter the weather!
I need to cancel or change my booking?

Will I get to ask the keeper questions during the experience?
All of our keepers are extremely knowledgeable and are more than happy to answer any questions you have.
Will I get a certificate after the experience?
All guests will receive a souvenir certificate after completing the experience.
